Mike Banco's paper has been published in PNAS!

Congratulations to Mike Banco. His paper describing 4 neutron/X-ray co-refined crystal structures of the Helicobacter pylori methylthioadenosine nucleosidase was accepted by PNAS and is now available on the PNAS website. We observed some intriguing hydrogen bonding and protonation patterns in these structures. It turned out to be quite an interesting story.  Paper.

November synchrotron trip

A few of us from the Ronning Group took the short drive to Argonne National Lab to collect some X-ray diffraction data. Chris had the best results from his crystals and will be writing up a paper describing his new structure over the winter break.
